Technically it runs on a virtual private server hosted at Linode who offer User Mode Linux servers (UML) at a very reasonable price. The server runs Ubuntu, Apache, MySQL and Drupal. I have also set up a Subversion server to hold versioned source and documents. In all it is a site like so many on the internet, without a specific goal. But often the route taken is more interesting than the destination. I use the same techniques for the official website of my consultancy company Lamia IT Consultancy (www.lamia.nl). Check it out.
